Return to Article Details Within the framework of memory studies, this article offers an exploration of the base of state documents for memory policies in Argentina and Colombia, considering their current contexts. With a qualitative approach, based on an analytical and political view, the study describes the orientations and educational resources available in each country. The results show that in both cases there is a growing availability of multiformat materials, focused on the testimonial dimension, which in the case of Argentina points to specific aspects of recent history, and in the case of Colombia focuses on the curricular implementation of a broad view of Peace. These findings allow an outline of some fundamentals of the role of the educator in the construction of a pedagogy of and for memory. Download Download PDF
